Arbon eperience
Arbon, the town of wide horizons, is located at the eastern end of the canton of Thurgau, directly on the Lake Constance cycle path. The pile dwellers had already settled here, which is why Arbon has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. But more recent history has also left its mark on the former industrial town of Arbon.
You can find more excursion tips on the Website Thurgau Bodensee.
An excursion by boat is particularly worthwhile in this region. A round trip or a short trip by boat allows new impressions of the lake to be reflected on the shore.
Lake promenade
Enjoy a walk along Lake Constance and take a break with the best view. There is also a varied playground directly on the lakeside promenade for younger visitors to enjoy.
Visit St. Martin’s Church, one of the most beautiful churches on Lake Constance, and find a moment of peace in the church built 800 years ago. You will also come across other churches of art and architectural history, all of which tell an impressive story.
The town of Arbon is characterized by exciting museums in the immediate vicinity. The old Saurer depot delights truck fans and puts classic cars in the spotlight. In the Swiss Cider and Distillery Museum MOMÖ, you can learn exciting facts about the history of apples. The Historical Museum in Arbon Castle is also well worth a visit.
